What it’s like being on our courses

Watch one of our learners Izabella share her experience of being on two Learn Ealing courses.

Skills for life and work course

She says: “I lacked confidence when using a computer and I was not sure if what I was doing, was done in the proper way.

“Applying for this course gave me an opportunity to check my knowledge and learn more – using a mouse, more functions of the keyboard, how to be safe and secure online, filling up forms, applications, looking for a job, buying tickets for travel or entertainment. What I valued most was the office skills – creating and editing a simple document, spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentation.”

Join us for computer skills for life and work in January 2023 or May 2023.

Hand sewing with Sasha courses

Izabella adds: “This was a great course. I will recommend it too. For me it was a great chance to socialise with other ladies. I also wanted to know more about hand stitches, techniques for mending and making simple things. We had an excellent teacher Sasha. We had lots of fun meeting together.”

Training for good jobs

Councillor Peter Mason, Leader of Ealing Council comments:

“One of Ealing’s three key priorities is to ensure that residents have access to good jobs.

“You can explore Learn Ealing prospectus for a wide range of workshops and courses to help you back into employment, to reskill or even to upskill too. Many of the courses are free and you can learn online or face-to-face.”

Watch out for the next video in the series to hear from another learner about their experience with Learn Ealing courses.
