Win tickets to Questors Comedy Festival

If you are looking for something to brighten up the darker autumn evenings, we have just the thing for you.

Around Ealing has teamed up with Questors Theatre to offer readers the chance to win a pair of tickets for its comedy festival next month.

After a triumphant debut earlier this year, the Questors Comedy Festival is bringing another star-studded line-up of entertainment to the borough, including Dominic Holland, father of Marvel’s Spider-Man Tom Holland, from 2-4 November.

TV favourites Ed Byrne and Marcus Brigstocke also feature on the bill, alongside award-winning stand-ups Shazia Mirza and Sally-Anne Hayward.

And, Hal Cruttenden, who grew up in the borough, returns to the theatre where he began his career.

He said: “I grew up a short walk from The Questors Theatre. It was where I first saw a play and where I first acted (at the age of 3). Only the lucky few encounter somewhere as special as Questors; an amateur theatre producing work of a professional standard. If you want to know how British theatre unearths the talent that makes it the envy of the world, visit the Questors.”

Looking ahead

The festival follows a landmark year for the theatre. The first Questors Comedy Festival in April was part of the theatre’s fundraising campaign to replace the roof covering its studio theatre and rehearsal rooms. The first phase of roof work has started and is due to be completed this autumn, with further improvements planned for next summer.

The Questors has also recently been named a finalist in the Great Amateur Theatre category at the Great British Theatre Awards, with the winners due to be announced on 2 November, the festival’s opening night.

Tickets for Questors Comedy Festival start from just £17 and are available to buy online.
