Apply for community climate funding

Are you a local community organisation looking to future proof your premises? If so, you can apply for funding of up to £10,000 to cut carbon and help reduce energy bills.

Ealing Council’s community climate grants programme has returned, empowering local organisations to make energy efficiency improvements and contribute to the borough’s ambitious target of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2030. With up to £100,000 in funding available, this initiative aims to support community-driven efforts to lower carbon emissions and promote sustainability.

The programme offers grants of up to £10,000 per organisation, with no minimum application amount, to help fund projects that: make a tangible impact on energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and support the borough’s climate goals.

Community organisations that are committed to making their operations more environmentally friendly are encouraged to apply.

Make a difference

The grants are a unique opportunity for local groups to implement transformative upgrades that can reduce bills with energy-efficient solutions that also reduce a building’s carbon footprint.

From quick fixes like installing energy-saving lighting to improving building insulation or investing in renewable energy sources, there are many ways organisations can use the grant to make a lasting impact on the environment and their community.

Councillor Paul Driscoll, the council’s cabinet member for climate action said: “Tackling the climate crisis is one of the most pressing challenges we face, and every effort counts. This programme offers a valuable win-win: vital support for community organisations that also helps bring us closer to net zero target.

“By improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions, we can build a more sustainable future for Ealing. Together, we can achieve our goal of becoming a net zero borough by 2030.”
