Learners celebrated in another year of achievements

Ealing Council’s adult learning team (Learn Ealing), recently hosted a special event to celebrate its learners’ outstanding achievements, development and progression to higher level courses or employment.

The event, held at the DoubleTree Hilton in Ealing Common on Thursday 23 November, was attended by learners, tutors and the Learn Ealing team.

Many of the learners have entered employment or improved their career prospects through volunteering and work experience, as well as developing self-confidence and improving their wellbeing.

Councillor Louise Brett, Ealing Council’s cabinet member for Decent Living Incomes said: “I’m extremely proud of all our learners and I’m glad their hard work is amplified and recognised through events such as our Learn Ealing Awards ceremony. The Learn Ealing team at the council has done an incredible job in supporting and helping them in their learning journey.

“We are determined to continue to offer new qualifications and training programmes to residents, so if you haven’t already, take a look at the courses that we have on offer.

“Thankyou to all our partners for their continuous support and commitment in ensuring that local people have equal access to training and development opportunities.”

The evening’s festivities were also in recognition of the role the tutors play in helping their learners to improve their lives and future prospects.

Visit the Learn Ealing website to find out more about the courses on offer, including professional employability, health and wellbeing, ESOL, English and maths, creative arts and languages, digital and computing and family learning courses or, call the Learn Ealing team on 020 8825 5577.
