Take On Me

Your chance to star in a show…with a difference

Take On Me is a theatrical show set in the 1980s but in unusual surroundings for a performance because all the action unfolds inside a real leisure centre. And you could star in it, too.

It is being put on by theatre company Dante or Die from Friday 22– Sunday 24 February, after hours at Everyone Active Acton Centre, in partnership with Ealing Council.

It is set in the 1980s’ world of headbands and legwarmers and follows a lonely woman coming to the gym for the first time and a lifeguard who has never saved anyone. Watch a trailer for the show above.

As well as a fun show, it is a great way for you to check out the impressive leisure centre and perhaps be tempted to try one of the many activities available there.

Get involved

There are voluntary roles to suit everyone; for different levels of availability, age ranges and interests and no experience is necessary, the organisers just want you to have fun. You could sing in the choir, work-out in the aerobics class, play one of the key characters or help out backstage.

If you are interested in taking part and have any questions or would like to find out more, come along to a drop-in session on Monday, 28 January between 1–3pm at Everyone Active Acton Centre or contact Lauren La Rocque on 07746 264010 or email lauren@danteordie.com
