Would you like to refine your cooking skills and rustle up a fantastical feast, with professional guidance and expertise?
Around Ealing has teamed up with Brilliant Gastro in Southall to offer one lucky reader the chance to win the ‘Tikka Fantasy’ cooking experience with celebrity chef and author Dipna Anand.
Dipna opened her latest restaurant in Southall’s Green Quarter, Parkside Yards, in the spring. She and her family have been cooking for visitors and residents for more than 5 decades and were proud owners of the original Brilliant restaurant, in Southall. Diners even included King Charles, who was Prince of Wales at the time.
But the favourite Punjabi classics live on in Dipna’s new culinary venture, alongside inventive Indian gastro dishes.
She said: “This gastropub is my personal take on the flavours I love—a fusion of my Punjabi roots and modern influences. We’re bringing something completely fresh to Southall’s dining scene.”
Diners might like to try the chicken biryani arancini, fiery dynamite wings or the banging chicken tikka burger. For grill lovers, there’s the show-stopping ‘smoking’ robata chop and charred spiced cauliflower steak. Want the full Dipna experience? Try Dipna’s special meat feast thali or the vegetarian thali, a spread of her most-loved dishes.
If you’ve still got room, you can satisfy your sweet tooth with the cardamom-infused sticky toffee pudding, a decadent gulab jamun bomb, or a zesty spiced mandarin cheesecake.
Or, you might like to have a go at making some of this yourself…
Cooking with Dipna

That’s because Dipna has also relocated her renowned cookery school to this new site. Whether you’re an aspiring chef or just love experimenting in the kitchen, you can learn directly from the expert. Visit the restaurant’s website for more information on the courses available.
