The newly renovated South Atrium at Perceval House

Welcome back to Perceval House

A welcoming, contemporary space for events, meetings, and celebrations is now available for hire in the heart of the borough, after Ealing Council reopened a newly renovated part of Perceval House to the public.

The ground floor of the council’s headquarters in Uxbridge Road now includes a series of light, spacious rooms and a large central atrium. These spaces can now be booked by local groups, businesses, and residents.

They are flexible and can be adjusted to suit to a wide range of activities, including fitness classes, children’s parties, weddings, exhibitions, and community events.

Councillor leader Peter Mason said: “Reopening the ground floor of Perceval House represents our physical commitment to being an open, inclusive and transparent council. We’ve worked to transform the building into an accessible home for communities across the borough to come together to meet, celebrate, and learn.”

Events for everyone

The council is planning a wide programme of free lunchtime cultural and wellbeing events at Perceval House over the summer.

This includes exhibitions from the council’s collections, including a display of work by artist and naturalist John Hull Grundy, and displays by local community groups.

Sessions will include music performances, health checks and exercise classes, art classes, and local history talks.

A new place to learn

The space will also host a brand-new learning and skills hub where adult learning classes will be delivered alongside a range of pre-employment training and skills opportunities.

Run by Learn Ealing, the council’s adult learning and skills service, the hub will help connect residents, employers, further and higher education partners, and training providers all in one place, to maximise opportunities to get people into work.

An official opening of the learning and skills hub will take place in the coming weeks, with senior representatives from the Greater London Authority, which co-funded the space.
