Put a spring in your step by entering our latest Seasons of Ealing photography competition.
We’re looking for your best shot which shows all the joys of spring, taken anywhere in the borough.
So, send us your favourite snaps of anything with a springtime feel to it. It could be a landscape, skyline, wildlife, your family playing amongst the blossoms, a picturesque park scene; whatever captures your interest.
The winner will be selected by the public and published in Around Ealing magazine and website. That’s not all, because the winning photographer will also receive the top prize of a pair of tickets to watch a film at Ealing Picturehouse cinema. And the 2 runners-up will also receive an Ealing Picturehouse cinema ticket.
‘I love this competition’
Adele Gonzague came out as the winner of our winter Seasons of Ealing competition, with her atmospheric photo of a couple walking their dog in Lime Trees Park, Northolt.
The runners-up were Dora Lokietka, with a picture taken near the Brent River in Hanwell; and Frank Kilduff, with his entry of a robin on a Firethorn branch in his Greenford garden.
Adele said: “I love this competition – It’s a great motivator to get outside and see the local area with a slightly different perspective.
“It motivated me to go for a walk a bit earlier than usual and I’m really glad I did, as it was such a beautiful sight to see – and one worth sharing. A massive ‘thank you’ to everyone who voted for me. The whole experience was very rewarding.”
Could you be our spring winner?
Email your photo to aroundealing@ealing.gov.uk by the closing deadline for entries, which is 11.59pm on Monday 4 May 2026.
For your photo to be considered, you must:
- put Seasons of Ealing in the subject line of the email
- include your name, postal address and phone number
- include a brief description of what the photo is of, when you took it and where you took it
- state that the photo was taken by you, and that you also have permission of any people whose faces appear in the photo to enter the photo into the Seasons of Ealing competition
- make sure the image is of a high enough resolution to be reproduced online and in print (poor quality images will not be considered)
What happens next?
At that point, a shortlist will be selected and put to a public vote. The voters will once again decide the top 3 entries, but then our panel of judges will choose the final winner from that top 3.
The result will be announced in the next edition of Around Ealing magazine.
Other things to know
By entering the competition, you are agreeing for your photo to be reproduced in Around Ealing magazine, on this website, and the council’s social media channels. No remuneration will be possible, but you will be named as the photographer if it is used in the Around Ealing magazine or website.
We will not, unfortunately, be able to reply to everyone who has entered the competition. If any image is found not to have been taken in the borough, or to have broken any of the other conditions outlined above, the photo will be disqualified from the competition.
The key is that it must have been taken in the borough in the last 12 months – and, it must have been taken by you.
Once again, the public will get to influence the final choice, so, even if you don’t enter, you can still get involved.
