Children and young people can enjoy free activities, healthy meals and new experiences over the school summer holidays. Check if your family is eligible.
Funded by the Department for Education, Ealing Council’s holiday activities and food (HAF) programme is for children and young people in school years reception to Year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals and live in, or attend school in, the borough.
Bookings now open
The summer HAF programme will run from 20 July to 28 August 2026, with activities taking place across the borough. Bookings are now open through the online booking platform, where parents and carers can browse activities and reserve places.
Eligible children and young people can attend up to 16 days of activities during the summer holidays and families are encouraged to book early and only reserve places they can attend.
Activities are delivered by a wide range of local organisations and include:
- football
- multi-sports
- gymnastics
- arts and crafts
- music and drama
- nature and outdoor activities
- youth programmes and wellbeing activities.
You can find out more about the HAF programme on its webpage.
‘A fantastic opportunity for children and young people’
Councillor Blerina Hashani, Ealing Council’s cabinet member for a fairer start, said: “The summer holidays should be a time for children and young people to have fun, stay active and build confidence. The HAF programme helps families by providing free activities and healthy meals throughout the break.
“There is a huge range of opportunities available across the borough, from sports and creative activities to outdoor learning and youth sessions. I encourage eligible families to take a look at what is on offer and book their places as soon as possible.”
