Win tickets to Take On Me show

Win a pair of tickets to be among the lucky people allowed to be immersed in a new show with a difference called Take On Me…which is taking place after opening hours in the Everyone Active Acton Centre.

You can scroll down to find out how to enter the competition and also how to book tickets for the show.

Take On Me is a show set in the 1980s’ world of headbands and legwarmers and follows a lonely woman coming to the gym for the first time and a lifeguard who has never saved anyone.

Live musicians belt out classic 80s hit songs, including Holding Out for a Hero and Take On Me, and lead you through the changing rooms, gym, an aerobics class and finally the pool. You are a fly on the wall for one extraordinary day in these people’s lives.

You will never look at your local leisure centre in the same way again.

It is being put on by theatre company Dante or Die from Friday 22– Sunday 24 February, after hours at Everyone Active Acton Centre, in partnership with Ealing Council. And local people will be involved in the cast, too, after the company called for residents to get involved.

As well as getting to have fun at the show, it presents you with a chance to get to know the Everyone Active Acton Centre and see what it has to offer – and perhaps be tempted to give one of its many activities a go in the future.

The competition

There are two pairs of tickets available to win in our competition: One pair for Saturday 23 February at 8.30pm; and the other pair for Sunday 24 February at 6pm. For a chance to win, answer the following question correctly and send it by email to aroundealing@ealing.gov.uk but make sure you use Take On Me tickets as the subject line or you may not be included in the draw when the winning names will be selected at random.

Question: The main building that houses the Everyone Active Acton Centre used to have a different purpose. What was this main building called before it was converted into the new leisure centre?

Send in your correct entries by the closing deadline of 11.59pm on Monday, 11 February 2019. The winners will be randomly drawn the next day and only the winners will be notified. Dante or Die will then arrange for the winners to collect their prizes. No monetary substitute will be offered as an alternative.
