blossom tree by water and greenery with blue skies in Walpole Park

Could you be our next winner?

This is the Seasons of Ealing spring photo competition winner voted for by thousands of you, our readers. Why not enter the summer contest to see if you could be our next winner?

We received scores of entries to the spring competition, and it was a tough job for the judges to agree on a shortlist of 10. Once again, you voted for your winner online, and there was a clear favourite.

The spring snaps were taken from places across the borough – depicting it in all its spring glory. There was lots of beautiful cherry blossom, picturesque parks and more.

And the winners were…

It’s always a tricky task to agree on the shortlist, but you had the final say as to who should be crowned the winner through a public vote during April.

The runaway winner, with more than 2,000 votes, was Havin Jagtiani, of Southall, and his picture of blooming blossoms in Walpole Park.

As well as the photo appearing here and on Around Ealing website, Havin will receive the top prize of 4 tickets to watch a film at Ealing Picturehouse cinema – the proud sponsor of the competition.

In second place was borough resident Gavin Clive-Smith, and his photo of a busy mum fox and pup.

And, in third place was Marek Salajka, of Ealing, with a photo of Northfields tube station.

Well done to everyone who was shortlisted, and thank you so much to everyone who took part. You can view all the runners-up in our digital spring edition of Around Ealing.

Could you be a summer winner?

Email your photo to aroundealing@ealing.gov.uk by the closing deadline for entries, which is 11.59pm on Sunday 27 July 2025.

For your photo to be considered, you must:

  • put Seasons of Ealing in the subject line of the email
  • include your name, postal address and phone number
  • include a brief description of what the photo is of, when you took it and where you took it
  • state that the photo was taken by you, and that you also have permission of any people whose faces appear in the photo to enter the photo into the Seasons of Ealing competition
  • make sure the image is of a high enough resolution to be reproduced online and in print (minimum 1mb, poor quality images will not be considered)

What happens then?

After the deadline for entries, a panel will judge the entries and select a shortlist. These shortlisted photos will be showcased here on our website and then everyone can get involved because the winner will be selected via an online public poll.

After the poll has closed, the winning photo will be featured in an edition of Around Ealing magazine.

By entering the competition, you are agreeing for your photo to be reproduced in Around Ealing magazine, on this website, and the council’s social media channels. No remuneration will be possible, but you will be named as the photographer if it is used in the Around Ealing magazine or website.

We will not, unfortunately, be able to reply to everyone who has entered the competition.
