Raise a glass to the Ealing Beer Festival

Fancy sampling one or two glasses of more than 500 varieties of real ale? The Ealing Beer Festival opens today (Wednesday, 10 July) at Walpole Park.

Run by CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) but part of the Ealing Summer Festivals, the beer festival will run until Saturday (13 July). It is open between 12noon and 10.30pm Wednesday-Friday and between 12noon and 6pm on Saturday.

Not a huge fan of ale? Don’t worry, there will be plenty of other drinks to try.

As well as the vast selection of beer options, including from microbreweries from across the country, there will also be a lots of high quality ciders, perries, wines and spirits.

This year there is a new wooden cask bar, and there will also be live music, food stalls, pub games, beer and cheese tasting – and organisers promise there will be plenty more, besides.

Entry costs £3 for CAMRA members, or £5 for non-CAMRA members. This price includes a glass. You can get a £3 refund when you leave if the glass is returned intact as you do so. Children can enter the festival free of charge until 6pm.
