Pedal up to the September Cycling Festival

Get bike savvy with a month of free cycling workshops and events across the borough at the council’s September Cycling Festival. Whether you are a regular cyclist or a first-time rider looking to boost your pedal skills or your bike needs minor repairs and maintenance, you will find an event for your needs.

All the workshops and events are free because the council wants to encourage more residents to get bike-confident and enjoy the physical and mental health benefits of cycling to the shops, to meet friends and family or for their commute.

Group-led family rides

Discover quiet cycle routes with family-friendly group rides, designed and led by professional cycle instructors, Cycling Instructor. The event is suitable for children aged eight and above; at least one adult is required per family group. You must be able to independently ride a bike. All participants must bring their own bike. The rides will take approximately one hour, after a bike safety check.
