Norwood Green Village Day takes place this Saturday (8 July) for a community-led afternoon of fun, food, games and music.

There will be live music throughout the event, between 12noon and 5pm, and it will be free to enter. A barbecue will provide tasty snacks, The Plough pub will run a bar, and an arena with lots of shows. There will be a car show, a dog show, a tug-of-war competition, dancing performances and a martial arts display.

Various stalls selling all kinds of goodies will be there, along with pig racing (not real pigs), a clown, a balloon man and a raffle, Radio West Middlesex will also be there.

Norwood Green Village Day has been running for 50 years and this year’s is due to be opened by the mayor of Ealing, Councillor Simon Woodroofe. It has been part-funded by the council’s Norwood Green ward forum.
