Get ready to create a new online council account

Do you pay for council tax, apply for a council tax discount or housing benefit online? Look out for an email from Ealing Council with information about changes to your ‘My Account’.

Ealing Council has emailed all MyAccount customers to let them know that, from Monday, 2 December, their online account will be unavailable. Later that week, the council will send another email inviting customers to re-register for a new account on the Ealing Council website and access the new-look service for council tax and housing benefits.

It is quick and easy to re-register – simply tell the council your name and email address. You will need extra information when you carry out a housing benefit or council tax transaction for the first time, but you will only need to provide this once. After the first time, you will be able to access your accounts through a single sign-in to your new online account.

Take a look at the council’s frequently asked questions for more information on what you need to get started.

Digital improvements to the council’s services are a key part of its Future Ealing programme. This is an attempt to work together with residents and other local organisations to transform the way the council delivers local services to make them sustainabile while also making Ealing a better place to live.

The council will have 64% less government funding by 2021 than it did at the start of the decade – deeper than the London or UK average. At the same time, our borough’s population is ageing and costs are increasing. This means the council’s adult social care and children’s services are under more pressure than ever before.
