If you had a pot of money to invest in making your town a better place, how would you spend it?
Ealing Council is encouraging residents and community groups to share their ideas and apply for funding available to make improvements in the borough’s 7 towns.
The funding is part of Ealing Council’s Your Voice, Your Town – a project that aims to bring local people into the decisions that are made about the places where they live.
Each town has its own pot of money, based on how many people live there:
- Acton – £80,000
- Ealing – £120,000
- Greenford – £60,000
- Hanwell – £40,000
- Northolt – £40,000
- Perivale – £20,000
- Southall – £120,000
Got an idea? Apply now
If you’ve got an idea to improve your town, you can apply online for your town’s community fund. Applications can be made as an individual, a group, or even a school — as long as your project helps the wider community.
Go to the Your Voice, Your Town website to find out more and apply.
Change powered by communities
The project is being led by town teams, with support from the council. Town team members include residents, businesses, community groups, faith leaders and councillors. The town teams will decide which ideas get funding.
The aim is to shape the borough’s towns into the places you want them to be. And, hundreds of people have already shared what matters most to them.
What kind of ideas can get funding?
In January 2025, people across the borough voted for their top priority for change in their neighbourhood. Ideas and applications for funding should reflect the town’s priority.
Here’s what each town chose:
- Acton – clean and pleasant area
- Ealing – feeling safe
- Greenford – clean and pleasant area
- Hanwell – feeling safe
- Northolt – clean and pleasant area
- Perivale – clean and pleasant area
- Southall – clean and pleasant area
Find out more about the priorities on the Your Voice, Your Town website.

‘Turn priorities into action’
Councillor Blerina Hashani, the council’s cabinet member for thriving communities, said: “Thank you to all the town teams for the time, energy and care you’ve put into shaping this fund. This is a community-led initiative, and it’s inspiring to see local people leading the way to make their towns better places to live.
“We’re proud to support this process and look forward to seeing the ideas that come forward — from individuals, schools, and community groups — to help turn priorities into action.”
