Speed networking at Ealing Business Expo

Networking event for business is postponed

A local business networking event due to take place this month has been postponed until later this year.

More than 700 people had been expected at the Ealing Business Expo 2020 across 23-24 March. But it will now take place in September instead.

The event, which is organised by Contactus Ealing, is sponsored by Ealing Council.

Carlene Bender, the director of Ealing Business Expo, said: “With just two weeks left until the event date, the increasing fears about the spread of the coronavirus outbreak in London ended up leaving us with little choice but to reschedule and to shimmy our event down into the second half of the year.

“We feel like it was the right thing to do – and I thank all our supportive exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, suppliers and pre-registered attendees for their understanding.

“Once this period of nervousness and worry is over, we can get back to making the most of face-to-face connections at Ealing’s local business show.

“There are new dates in September; but the venue and timings for the days’ activities remain the same.”

The expo will now take place across 28-29 September. Both days will still run between 11am-5pm at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Ealing Common W5 3HN. It is free to enter but you need to pre-register.

Each year, Ealing Business Expo provides local groups, services, businesses and individuals the chance to come together, swap ideas and take part in business-building, networking and hearing local experts share their stories for success.

Businesses of every size will be in attendance, and many will exhibit, but if you are simply interested in setting up your own business you are still encouraged to attend free of charge as a visitor to get advice and be inspired.

As well as ‘speed networking’ sessions, there will be opportunities to join in panel discussions and round-table talks, information and advice sessions, guest talks and workshops.
