My Account making it easier online

The council’s digital customer portal, My Account, is making it quicker and easier for you to pay bills and manage your transactions online at your convenience. Are you signed up yet?

My Account gives you more control and helps you stay informed about your personal circumstances, while reducing the need to rely on council staff who are limited to office hours.

There are a number of services available via My Account including council tax, business rates, rents, repairs and housing benefits. It can give you a more seamless customer experience of engaging with the council, by having one system where the information the council holds about you is shared. It is more efficient, saves time and multiple contacts with council teams.

Creating an account

Creating a new online My Account is quick and easy – just go to www.ealing.gov.uk/myaccount and you can sign up today.

For help with registration, visit the council’s website or contact the My Account support team by calling 020 8825 7733 (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm).

There are plans to move more services to My Account in 2021. Once the My Account project is completed, residents will be able to manage a range of council accounts in one place online and track the progress of their transactions anytime and from anywhere.

What’s on My Account?

Housing rents and repairs customers can request repairs online at their own convenience. They can also view their statements, request references, refunds and benefit deductions online. They will need their unique rent reference number, which can be found on their last rent statement.

Residents with an Ealing council tax account can manage their council tax payments. They just need to sign up using the online key on their last council tax bill, to be able to make payments, set up a direct debit, tell the council about changes in circumstances or check their balance.

Council benefits customers can register to receive paperless benefit decision notices. You will need your national insurance number to hand. If you receive housing benefits and are also a council taxpayer, you will be able to view your benefit entitlement.

If you are already using My Account to pay your council tax or review your benefits, you can use the same login and you will notice some new options have been added for you to access rents and repairs information.

Business rates customers can now manage their accounts online. It is easy to sign up. Just go to www.ealing.gov.uk/myaccount and use the online key on the front of this year’s business rates bill. You can set up direct debits, inform the business rates team if you are buying, selling, leasing or vacating properties and upload documents. You can also switch to paperless billing and view up to date account information. If you are an existing My Account customer for personal use, you will need to register for a new account as an organisation using a different email address.
