A new space where residents can boost their digital skills, get employment support, and explore new learning opportunities is set to open next week.
There will be a host of activities to celebrate Ealing Council’s fifth learning zone on Friday 3 October, from 10:30am to 1:30pm in West Ealing Community Library.

There will also be a maths fun fair with number puzzles and games. All children must be accompanied by a parent or carer.
What is a learning zone?
Learning zones are spaces where people can receive skills training and employment support. You can also use public computers, free Wi-Fi, and improve your digital skills, whether to apply for jobs, access public services, or to stay connected.
Hundreds of residents have received help with improving their digital skills and finding work since the first learning zone was opened in Northolt in October 2022.
Join our classes to learn new skills and improve your life!
Explore a range of courses and workshops, led by experienced professional tutors, for adult learners at every skill level – from beginners to advanced. Many of the courses are free. Have a look and choose your course in the latest prospectus.

Digital access for all
Councillor Kamaljit Nagpal, the council’s cabinet member for decent living incomes said: “Our learning zones are a brilliant way to make education and training accessible to everyone. They are part of our plan to ensure everyone has the chance to get a good, well-paid job.
“Digital skills are important for work, learning and daily life. The learning zones bring us one step closer to giving everyone access to the devices and skills they need to get online.”
Residents can also access training and employment support at the 4 other learning zones in the borough, in Acton, Northolt, and Southall libraries, and in Hanwell community centre.
Look out for the next learning zones planned to launch in Greenford and Perivale in the coming months.
