HS2 information events

HS2, the high speed rail line planned to connect London with Birmingham, is due to have a station at Old Oak Common. HS2 Ltd is holding six information events for residents – beginning with the first tomorrow (Tuesday, 29 November).

Its team will run the events across the Old Oak Common area to help people find out more about the project and what it could mean for the local area. As well as information, its staff will be on-hand to answer residents’ questions.

The six events
  • Tuesday, 29 November at The CoClub, 140 Wales Farm Road, W3 6UG; 4-8pm
  • Saturday, 3 December at The Collective Old Oak, Nash House, Old Oak Lane, NW10 6FF; 12noon-4pm
  • Tuesday, 6 December at Community Hub, Woodward Buildings, 1 Victoria Rd, W3 6FA; 10am-2pm
  • Saturday, 10 December at Old Oak Community and Children’s Centre, 76 Braybrook Street, W12 0AP; 12noon-4pm
  • Tuesday, 13 December at The Collective Old Oak, Nash House, Old Oak Lane, NW10 6FF; 4-8pm
  • Thursday, 15 December at Holiday Inn London West, 4 Portal Way, W3 6RT; 10am-2pm.

Ealing Council has had a number of concerns about the scheme in the past and has sought various reassurances and revisions to plans from the government and HS2 Ltd. You can find out more about this on the council website, including previous calls for improvements and support for residents that led to securing a tunnel under a section of the borough rather than the line running above ground throughout.
