Residents can pick up free school uniform ahead of the new school year at a series of pop-up events taking places across the borough this August.
Organised by Ealing Council, the events will offer a wide range of donated primary and secondary school uniform, including branded and unbranded items. Browse and pick up the items you need at no cost, helping to save money, reduce waste and make use of good-quality uniforms.

Uniform donations needed
Residents are also being encouraged to donate school uniform that children have outgrown.
The project accepts clean, good-quality branded and unbranded primary and secondary uniform, including shirts, skirts, trousers, jumpers, tops, sportswear, footwear and school bags. Donations of clothes hangers are also welcome.

The council is looking to add more drop-off locations across the borough, so keep an eye on the ActforEaling website, which has the most up-to-date list.
Helping families all year round
The pop-up programme is part of the Ealing School Uniform project, which has been helping families since August 2025 by collecting unwanted uniform and redistributing it through regular hubs and community events across the borough.
As well as helping families save money, reusing school uniform reduces clothing waste and lowers the environmental impact of producing new clothing.
So far, the project has supported more than 265 families, saved more than 800 uniform items going in the bin, saved almost 2 tonnes of carbon emissions and helped conserve more than 330,000 litres of water. That’s enough water to fill a bathtub 2,000 times.

Councillor Dominic Moffitt, the council’s cabinet member for climate action, said: “The Ealing School Uniform project is a fantastic example of how small actions can make a big difference.
“By passing on school uniform that is still in good condition, residents are helping local families with the cost of the new school year while reducing waste. I encourage anyone with outgrown uniform at home to donate it, and anyone who would like to pick up free, good-quality school uniform to visit one of our free pop-up hubs this August.”
