Christmas lights on Ealing Broadway

Festive lights brighten Ealing High Streets

Ealing’s town centres and shopping parades have been given an extra sparkle over the festive period thanks to the generosity of local sponsors.

In such an incredibly challenging year for residents, businesses and the local community, it is hoped that the lights will bring some festive cheer and joy this holiday season.

Thanks to Berkeley Group, Countryside, Galliard Homes, Interland Group, O’Shea, Silver DCC Ltd, St George, Sun Mark Ltd, Twickenham Studios, The University of West London, and Vulcan Construction Services Ltd  who have all contributed to help Ealing celebrate the Christmas spirit and light up the borough’s  town centres and high streets.

The lights will be switched on until 8 January and can be enjoyed in 12 town centres and neighbourhood centres including Ealing Broadway, West Ealing, Acton, Southall, Hanwell, Greenford, Northolt, Greenford Avenue, South Ealing Road, Northfields, Oldfield Circus and Perivale.

Julian Bell, leader of Ealing Council said: “I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of the sponsors who have contributed to brighten our borough for the festive period.  It has been such a challenging year for us all, and our business community is facing their own struggles, so their generous gift to our residents is particularly special this holiday season.

“We hope the lights will help to raise morale and lift the spirit of the community and help create a festive experience for those visiting our high streets.”

Residents are encouraged to shop locally to support our high streets and continue to shop safely to protect their loved ones this holiday season.
