Black History Month: Grants and a competition

To celebrate Black History Month, this year the Young Ealing Foundation is offering small grants to organisations highlighting and celebrating the ways in which diversity enrich our society.

The grants will support the delivery of activities with children and young people up to the age of 25. They are available only to members of the Young Ealing Foundation, so you will need to sign up and become a member first in order to apply.

Grants will range from £250 to £500. To apply, complete the form by 5pm on Friday, 16 October 2020.

Competition
To celebrate Black History Month the Young Ealing Foundation is also launching their first poster and story writing competition. Children and young people from Ealing are invited to submit their work dedicated to celebrating the black community. This will be followed by a prize-giving ceremony at the end of October.

There are £500 worth of prizes to be won. Entries can be stories, artwork, poems and everything in-between. Winners will be showcased at a virtual Black History Month celebration on Thursday, 29 October and the winners will be presented with a Love2Shop voucher.

Entries must be uploaded by an adult and the file name saved as the child’s name and age.

The deadline for submissions is 5pm, Tuesday, 20 October 2020. Enter You can enter the competition online.
