A dazzling day of LGBTQ+ fun, music and festivities is returning to the borough with a special discount on tickets for residents.
June is Pride Month but the celebrations are set continue into July, with London’s biggest LGBTQ+ day festival returning to Walpole Park after a successful debut last year.
From DJs to drag shows, dance troupes to live acts and cabaret to comedy, there’s entertainment to suit all tastes at As One in the Park.
The event is being held in Walpole Park on Saturday 19 July, from midday to 10pm, and residents can bag themselves a £10 discount on tickets. This event is for over-18s only.
Big name acts
Visitors can expect a star-studded line-up with appearances from stars of the hit BBC show RuPaul’s Drag Race, as well as a headline set from world-famous DJ Fat Tony, who recently made history with his husband as the first gay couple to feature on the cover of Hello! Magazine.
Even with the addition of big-name acts, organisers are keen to maintain the festival’s community feel.
Special offer
As a thank you to residents, this year’s festival includes a £10 discount on tickets, redeemable with the code: iloveealing. For more information, and to buy tickets, go to the As One in the Park website.
“That’s something we’ve made clear we want to do every year – to give something back to residents. We want to build a relationship with the community,” said Harry Wright, one of the event organisers.
He added: “Last year went very well. We were lucky with the weather, and it had a lovely community vibe. You don’t get that very often.
“Ealing is a lovely place. It’s huge, it’s very green, and Walpole Park is beautiful. The Elizabeth Line also makes it very accessible to visitors. It brings a lot of people into the town.”
While London’s main Pride event also takes place in July, the organisers say As One in the Park offers something different.
In addition to 5 stages offering music and entertainment galore, there will be more than 20 stalls offering food, drink, crafts and more.
Fellow organiser, Edna, said: “We’ve had a very good few years (in which LGBTQ+ people have felt accepted). But it’s even more important now for gay people to gather, stick together, and be a community.”
Celebrating community
Councillor Polly Knewstub, the council’s cabinet member for healthy equal lives, said: “As One in the Park is a shining example of what makes Ealing such a vibrant and inclusive borough. Pride Month is a time to celebrate love, identity, and community – this festival brings all of that to life in the heart of Walpole Park. It’s about joy, visibility, and togetherness – and we’re thrilled to welcome everyone to Walpole Park for what promises to be a spectacular day.”
Latino Life festival discount
A £10 discount is also available to the Latino Life Festival in Walpole Park on Sunday 20 July. Organisers promise the biggest Latin music and culture festival in the UK.
