Nausaba Khurram owner of London Aesthetic Beauty

Welcome back to London Aesthetic Beauty

Located on Southall Broadway, London Aesthetic Beauty first opened its doors in 2019. Owned and managed by Naushaba Khurram, who has more than 15 year’s experience in the personal care and beauty industry.

We met up with Naushaba as part of our Welcome Back campaign to find out more about her business and the measures she has in place to keep her customers safe.

Tell us about your business

London Aesthetic Beauty is a warm and friendly salon located on Southall Broadway, offering some of the best advanced treatments in West London. We offer high-end treatments such as platelet-rich plasma facials, platelet-rich plasma hair restoration, Botox, and Derma fillers as well as all the basic treatments like waxing, threading, manicures and pedicures.  We take pride in offering great customer service and do our best to meet our customer’s needs.

What makes your business unique?

Any profession which is passion-driven changes the game. Beauty treatments and helping people to feel beautiful in their own skin is my passion and something I have always loved. Beauty is something close to every woman’s heart, but for me it’s more than that. Initially laser hair removal was what took me towards this industry and over that time I noticed how improving something as little as one’s facial hair can give them such a confidence boost and it’s the most rewarding feeling. Also at London Aesthetic Beauty we never compromise on hygiene standards; all treatments are carried out in an aseptic and sterile environment.

I have a passion for this business, I love every part and all treatments are clean and safe.

What made you choose Ealing?

I chose Ealing for many reasons, one of the many being because of the diversity, there is such a wide range of clients so I wanted to introduce Harley street standards to Southall Broadway where treatments are performed with the best quality and are local to many of those who would have to travel all the way to London.

How has the pandemic impacted your business?

The pandemic has had a great impact on all businesses worldwide both big and small, and the beauty industry was one of those that took the hardest hits. We were closed for more than nine months in total, and with us being a new business it wasn’t easy. However, with the help and financial aid from Ealing Council we got through it and we greatly appreciate their support. The virus was hard on us all, but the best way forward is to think positively and put all our efforts into rebuilding our losses.

How have you adapted during the pandemic?

After the first lockdown ended mid-July 2020, when we reopened, we made immediate changes to ensure the safety of all clients and staff. We enforced social-distancing measures, made wearing face masks compulsory, measured temperatures of all people entering at the door, wiped the handles and furniture after each use, ensured our staff wear additional PPE (personal protection equipment) and placed hand sanitizer all around the salon.

How do you support the local community?

We strongly believe in giving back to the community, all elderly, disabled and extra-need clients are especially catered to. Where we can, we offer discounts and we always try to do a little extra for when it comes to products and treatments. We have also made sure that the salon is wheelchair-accessible and we have a ramp that we install when needed. Our salon is also unisex and very diverse, where clients aren’t judged on their sexuality, race or ethnicity, we treat everyone as equal and our main focus is to provide the best treatment possible.

What makes Ealing special?

The borough of Ealing has a very diverse demographic with people of different beliefs and cultures coming together as one. People who have grown-up here are open and accepting of different cultures. Due to the sense of such strong relationships, there is a lot of support for local businesses.

Why should people support local?

Supporting local businesses helps in strengthening the local economy by creating more jobs and reduces the impact on the environment.  Supporting local businesses creates better bonds within the community, contributing to better relationships. It also strengthens the community by keeping the money within the community hence creating a better area for people to live in.

What are your favourite places in Ealing?

My favourite place in Ealing has to be Southall Broadway because it’s always busy and lively, being an Asian myself, I feel at home whenever I’m there. There are so many amazing restaurants with different foods and loads of beautiful clothes, people from all over the UK come down to visit, and there’s never a dull day!
