It is a huge moment. Time flies and, all of a sudden, your child is due to start primary school in September 2027. Did you know you can apply for places right now?
You can submit an application under the London-wide primary school admissions scheme. Your application will come into Ealing Council, listing your preferences.
You can read the borough’s admissions prospectus online.
What to do
All parents and carers living in the borough need to list up to 6 different schools that they want to apply for, including any that are located outside the borough (but not private schools).
Your choices have to be ranked in order of preference, from 1 to 6. Only one offer can be made to you, and this would be from the highest ranked school from your list that is available.
The closing date for applications is 15 January 2027. If you are unsure of what to do, or want to know more about a school, you can visit the council’s website and you can also speak to the schools you are most interested in.
How to do it
Apply online on the eAdmissions website. You can find support and more information on the council’s website.
What happens next?
After the deadline on 15 January, the applications will be processed. Then, on the London-wide offer day on 16 April 2027, an offer will be made to all applicants, as far as practically possible. If a school is over-subscribed, its published admission criteria will be used to decide the order in which applicants are offered a place.
Useful to know
If you want to apply for a place at a faith school, you will also, in addition, need to fill in the school’s own ‘supplementary information form’. These are available from the schools concerned.
The supplementary form must be returned to the school before the closing date. For more information, contact the school(s) concerned.
If you want to apply for a place at a school in another borough, it is important you read the primary prospectus for that borough to make sure you understand the admission criteria for the schools you are applying to.
