“Over the last few years, residents have told us clearly that they want to see a stronger town centre in Perivale,” said Councillor Monica Hamidi as a public consultation got under way to find out exactly what changes people want in the town.
Ealing Council opened the 8-week consultation to hear what residents, businesses, and community groups would like to see in the area before any plans were drawn up. The ideas will help shape plans for a new town centre around Perivale Station.
It is the only one of the borough’s 7 towns without a clearly defined town centre. Previous conversations with more than 400 residents found strong support for change.
Councillor Hamidi added: “Residents have said they want better facilities, more things to do, and places where people can come together.
“Now we want to hear more about what matters most to you.
“Whether that’s better green spaces, new community facilities, more homes, improved connections, or something else entirely, this is your chance to help shape the future of Perivale.
“No decisions have been made, and we are at the start of the conversation. We want to listen carefully to residents, businesses, and community organisations before any future options are developed.”
What happens next?
The consultation process will take place over 8 weeks – closing on 18 December.
You can complete the survey online and find out more about the project on the council’s website.
You will be also able to take part in drop-in events and workshops. And meetings will also be held directly with a number of local organisations.
Register to take part in any of the events.
Feedback from the survey and events will be used to shape future ideas, and a set of findings will be shared with local people in 2027.
