Ealing Climate Week is returning this month with a packed programme of free events to help residents save money, feel healthier, cut waste and connect with their communities.
The borough-wide celebration, which runs from Saturday 19 to Sunday 27 September, will bring together residents, community groups, charities, schools, businesses and Ealing Council for 9 days of practical activities under the theme of Better Living.
From energy-saving advice to repair cafés, cycling offers and a family-friendly nature and climate social, the week is designed to show how small changes can make everyday life better while helping to tackle the climate crisis.
Events across the borough
It comes after another summer that has shown why local climate action matters. Hotter, drier weather, pressure on green spaces and the risk of flooding are all reminders that climate change is already affecting everyday life. Climate Week is a chance to focus on practical steps that can help residents stay well, cut costs and make the borough more resilient.
Highlights include energy-saving roadshows in the borough’s 7 towns, offering advice on how to cut energy use and save money on bills.
Act for Ealing will be hosting a nature and climate social event at Pear Tree Park Bistro in Perivale on Sunday 20 September, where people can meet local groups, enjoy activities, and find out more about plans for the West London Regional Park.
Other events will include:
- Ealing Repair Café sessions to help people mend and upcycle clothes
- free Brompton bicycle hire during the week and discounts for riding electric bikes from Lime
- a practical session on how to save water in your garden and another on installing heat pumps
- an 11-mile family-friendly Climate Week Ride from Walpole Park to Pear Tree Park, with qualified instructors and a Dr Bike check-up
- a family-friendly beaver safari at Paradise Fields and bat walks at Acton and Lammas Parks

Schools and families are also being encouraged to get involved, with walking and wheeling activities helping children and parents make healthier, greener journeys.
