The award-winning Ealing Half Marathon is returning once again to the town’s streets and parks in September – and we have a race place and hoodie to give away.
Thousands of runners are expected, along with just as many spectators, on Sunday, 27 September.
Since it started in 2012, the Ealing Half Marathon has grown in stature to become a firm fixture in the UK running calendar.
The race starts outside Walpole Park at 9am. The 13.1-mile course will then cover lots of areas of Ealing before reaching Hanwell and then returning to Ealing and Walpole Park.
If you want to guarantee your place in this year’s Ealing Half Marathon, entries were still being accepted when we published this article.
To help get you on your way, a 12-week training plan is available, via the Ealing Half’s race partner Runna. The special plan, via the Runna app, will be set up to suit varying abilities – whether you are an experienced runner, or have never run a long distance, or have fallen out of practice.
Not running? Why not volunteer instead?
You do not have to be a runner to be involved in this great event, because hundreds of volunteers are needed, too.
One of the secrets to the event’s success is the involvement of the local community. And, if you have not signed up to run the half marathon yourself (or your children are not involved in the Ealing Trailfinders Mini Mile the day before), you can still get involved by volunteering to help on the day.
Nearly all of those who volunteer are people who live locally and they provide most of the marshaling, as well as providing water stations, bag drop facilities and staffing the race village in Lammas Park.
As a ‘thank you’, they each take home a free place in the 2027 race – and a breakfast roll and drink on the day.
If you would like to be one of the 700 volunteers, you can register on the Ealing Half website.

Question: at which Ealing park does the half marathon finish?
The prize
As stated, 1 winner will receive the following prize: a race place for the Ealing Half Marathon and an Ealing Half Marathon hoodie.
After the deadline has passed, the winner will be digitally selected at random, before being contacted. Only the winner will be notified. If the winner does not respond within 14 days, or a similar term deemed reasonable/appropriate to the competition prize, a new winner might be drawn at random instead and awarded the prize.
Other information
Your contact details will be used for the purpose of administering the competition and contacting the winner to notify them of the prize. And, if you are the winner, we may also need to pass them on to the organisation/company that is due to provide you with the prize in order for you to claim it. In some cases, such as photography competitions when publication of your entry is stated as one of the possible outcomes, your name may be used alongside your entry in the council’s online or print publications.
The entry deadline and the random selection of the winner is final and binding in all respects on all entrants. No correspondence will be entered into.
Entries that do not comply in full with these entry terms and conditions may be disqualified. If the winning entry is disqualified for any reason, the council reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant.
There is no cash alternative to the prize. The council does not accept any liability on behalf of any third party supplying the prize. Some terms and conditions of the third party supplier may also apply to the prize.
Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions by entering this competition.
