Welcome to the summer 2022 edition of Around Ealing magazine. It is available to view (below) as a PDF or as an interactive version.
Whether its being in the local park, with the sun on your back; or the long, hazy stretch of the school holidays; or even just catching up with friends in the outdoors; the word ‘summer’ conjures something different in everyone’s mind.
With so many bad things happening at home and across the world at the moment, it is nice to have something to look forward to. And the Ealing Summer Festivals are back to bring a little sunshine for a few weeks, too. You can read about what to expect on pages 20-22 as part of a little section on summer activities – including a chance to win tickets to the festivals (on p22) and also a season ticket for Hanwell Zoo (p23).
We also look back at the local celebrations of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee – with photos of the Big Jubilee Lunch, Proms in the Park and beacon lighting events, and also some supplied by you, across pages eight-10. You can see more of the images on this website in two articles:
There is a lot more besides in this summer 2022 edition of the magazine – too much to summarise here. But work to support wildlife (p32-33), a credit union offering simple savings and loans in these trying times (p14-15), local housing projects supporting people into work (p18-19) and Ealing entrepreneurs being given a hand to boost their businesses (p34-35) are just some of the stories you can find.
